Bath Twp.: A Maple Heights teen is accused of frightening motorists on Interstate 77 by pulling up beside them and showing a handgun.The weapon turned out to be a BB gun, Sgt. Scott Borton said Sunday.According to the police report, a driver was seen heading south recklessly at 3:08 p.m. Friday when he pulled alongside at least two vehicles, showed the gun and sped off. He pointed the weapon at one motorist at least, Borton said.He said one of the motorists got a license plate number.The car was found later at the suspect’s place of employment in Northfield, Borton said. The Bath Police Department’s Facebook page displayed a picture of two BB guns found in the car.The teenager was charged with inducing a panic, aggravated menacing and driving with a suspended license, all misdemeanors.Borton said the teen was released to the custody of a parent.A female passenger was in the car, but Borton had no information about whether she was considered an accomplice.
